Non-Traditional Bouquets

It isn’t always about flowers.  Here are some great examples of creativity at its best.  From feathers to wire to felt…what do you think about these non-traditional bouquets?  Should a bride only carry nature made blooms?

Non-Traditional Bouquets

I am loving this idea!
I really appreciate new forms of creativity instead of the traditional norm. I’ve never seen anything like these before and I’m just loving them!
These bouquets are beautiful!

Oo, I love these. No way, we should limit someone’s creativity on their special day. There are lots of options, and I love seeing what people come up with.

Katherine HetzelOctober 14, 2013 - 11:00 am

If you’re allergic to flowers – fab ideas! Particularly love the felt flower bouquet; imagine sending fabric and buttons to special people and asking them to create a flower each for your big day… I’ve been a part of some cool collaborative crafting in the past, and the end result is always so much greater than the sum of the separate parts!

Hi Mackie,
Congratulations! This advice is SO useful — handling all the details involved in planning ANY event can easily become overwhelming. Even with an experienced event planner on hand, the hostess (or host) needs to prioritize the events highlights. Once that’s done, everything else can fall in place. Great advice.

Great read. My son just proposed to a wonderful gal. They have to do things on a lower budget but with beauty. This is some great advice on how to prioritize. Thanks.

I love this post.I am an event designer by hobby. I’m actually an interior designer but my work has led me to create some wonderful small and large parties.
I used to have a full scaled event planning business even doing corporate events but I don’t like it as much as I like just designing. So I’m sticking with that now. 🙂

Celebrity Wedding Dresses

Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Tia Mowry, Celine Dion, Anne Hathaway, Liz Taylor, Katherine Middleton, Kim Kardashian

LindseyOctober 8, 2013 - 11:11 am

I love simple wedding dresses. I agree with you on the over the top ones. I really like Alicia Keys’ dress but don’t like the headdress.

Janeane DavisOctober 8, 2013 - 11:25 am

I enjoyed looking at all the pretty dresses. I am not a celebrity follower so I ignored most of these when they would have been on the news. I think every bride should find something that makes her feel special.

GiGi Eats CelebritiesOctober 8, 2013 - 12:52 pm

LOL to Celine Dion!!!! That’s just…. NO GOOD. What is she hiding under there?

I do really like Tia’s dress though 🙂

Brides in Baltimore/Washington DC

Events by Mackie has made a big move.  We are now based in the mid-Atlantic and in full blown wedding planning mode with our second bride from this area, but first wedding in DC.  Utilizing only the highest quality products and working with reputable local vendors Events by Mackie provides design and coordination for small intimate affairs to large full scale events.

Rebranding as a Mid-Atlantic wedding designer is exciting and as I begin to market and meet other industry professionals in the area I am overwhelmed by the assistance being offerred to me by others.  How gracious and kind…even some competitors have been nothing but welcoming and helpful.

I am currently participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge. This challenge is a quest for those of us bloggers to post 31 blog post in the 31 days of October.  I am uber excited to be a part of this as I have always been passionate about sharing my views, opinions, and knowledge regarding event and wedding planning.  Please take the time to browse Events by Mackie’s website.  See what we are about and leave a shout out to us if you have a moment.  We love engaging in industry discussions and value your contributions!

As we approach the holiday season look for more tips on planning your holiday events…and yes we consider Halloween a holiday!

Make sure to look  for our posts everyday at Events by Mackie/Blog. Enjoy!!!
